F3-C1: Eriksson ahead of Norris at Pau
The first lap of the first Pau race was decisive in the outcome of the morning event this Saturday in Béarn. Starting from pole position, Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam) made the best start but quickly lost all his chances after contact with the rail.
Something to offer Joel Eriksson (Motopark) the controls of the race ahead Lando Norris (Pug). The duo will lead the entire race, but Norris will never be able to find an opening on the leader, despite the interventions of the safety car following the incidents involving Guan Yu Zhou (Prema Powerteam), then a few laps later Jake Hughes (Hitech GP), who made a tire mistake, as well as Joey Mawson (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Jake Dennis (Carlin).
These mishaps allowed Maximilian Günther (Prema Powerteam) to ultimately reach the podium in front of Nikita mazepin (Hitech GP) and Ralf Aron (Hitech GP) who complete the top 5. Mick Schumacher (Prema Powerteam) finished eighth behind Pedro Piquet (Van Amersfoort Racing).
