F3-C1: Giovinazzi opens the ball at Hockenheim

Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) signs his first victory of the season F3 European Championship at the end of Race 1 contested at Hockenheim on a wet track. The Italian took the advantage over pole sitter Felix Rosenqvist (Prema Powerteam) and retained his leading position in an event marked by three interruptions caused by track excursions. The Swede will be able to take his revenge during the other races of the meeting where he will also start on pole.

The winner increases his lead in the Championship against Charles Leclerc (Van Amersfoort Racing) author of a new podium ahead of Jake Dennis (Prema Powerteam) and Maximilian Günther (Mücke Motorsport).

With the French, Brandon Maïsano (Prema Powerteam) ranked 9th after giving up two positions while Dorian Boccolacci (Signature) rose to 21st place.
