F3 – C1: Günther first winner at the Norisring

Left since 4e position, Maximilian Günther quickly took the lead over Pedro Piquet (Van Amersfoort Racing) before battling for second place with Lando Norris (Pug). Further back in the peloton, a collision involved several cars including Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam).

The race was punctuated by several incidents, including that between Jehan Daruvala (Carlin) and Joey Mawson (Van Amersfoort Racing) whose collision involved the implementation of the Full Course Yellow procedure.

A few laps from the checkered flag, the battle intensified for victory between Jake Hughes (Hitech GP) and Norris until a collision at the first corner, ending Hughes' race and resulting in a 20-second penalty. for Norris after the checkered flag.

Günther, for his part, completed a faultless race to take the first victory of the weekend ahead of Pedro Piquet who took his first podium in the FIA F3 and Guan Yu Zhou (Prema Powerteam). Party 17e, Joel Eriksson (Motopark) manages to move up to 4e position and finished ahead of Harrison Newey (Van Amersfoort Racing).

Jehan Daruvala (Carlin) finishes best rookie ahead Mick Schumacher (Prema Powerteam). Tadasuke Makino (Hitech GP) achieves his best result with an 8e place and ahead of his teammates Ralf Aron and Nikita mazepin in the top 10.
