F3-C1: The roller coaster for Lance Stroll

Lance stroll had a rather easy race for the first confrontation on the Nürburgring track. The Canadian from Prema Powerteam inherited pole yesterday after the ten-place grid penalty inflicted on Brazilian Sergio Sette Camara (Motorpark). This last, best time in Q1, had been forced to fall back on the grid after an engine change carried out at Spa in Belgium during the last round of the European Championship. F3.

A preferential position which allowed Stroll to take the lead from the first meters of the event and never let go of the controls until the checkered flag. The leader of the general classification thus signs an eighth success this season, preceding his teammate and main opponent for the title Maximilian Günther by more than six seconds.

George Russell (Hitech GP) completes the podium after taking advantage of the problems of Nick Cassidy (Prema Powerteam), a second time but who fell two places after encountering an as yet unidentified problem. Callum Ilott (Van Amersfoort Racing) climbs into the top 5. His teammate Anthoine Hubert saves a top 10 in this first race.

The second event of the weekend will take place at 17:10 p.m.
