F3-C1: Lucas Auer easily wins at Hockenheim

Lucas Auer (Mücke Motorsports) easily won Race 1 at Hockenheim after maintaining his pole advantage. The Austrian remained out of reach after taking advantage of clashes with Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) and Max Verstappen (Van Amersfoort Racing) who almost collided Esteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam) by failing to brake. The Frenchman was well on his way to securing a second place but the Frenchman only reached the finish line in ninth place after suffering from a fuel supply problem on the last lap.

Carlin was the first beneficiary as Ed Jones finally climbed onto the second step of the podium ahead of his teammate Jordan King, author of a great comeback from tenth position. Tom Blomqvist (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) follows in fourth position after having fought a superb duel with Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke Motorsport) who finally completes the top five ahead of Mitch Gilbert (Fortec Motorsports), Jake Dennis (Carlin) and Felix Serralles (Team West -Tec F3).

Antonio Fuoco (Prema Powerteam) failing to reach the top ten behind Richard Goddard (ThreeBond with T-Sport) after only starting from 17th place, Esteban Ocon retains the lead of the Championship with three points ahead of Tom Blomqvist and eight on his Italian teammate, now third in the Drivers' standings.
