F3 – C1: Norris uncompromising in the race

Starting from pole, Lando Norris (Carlin) takes off on a wet track where incidents follow one another for two laps until the failed braking of Nikita mazepin (Hitech GP) at the first corner on the third lap. The full course yellow accentuates its already considerable lead over its first pursuer Jake Hughes (Hitech GP).

The first two places already sealed, the battle returns for third place between Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam) and Joey Mawson (Van Amersfoort Racing), the Australian taking the advantage at the first restart despite a damaged front wing. In the last minutes of the race, Pedro Piquet took his Van Amersfoort off the track, causing a second FCY, bringing the protagonists considerably closer to the podium but the Australian kept the advantage to climb into the top 3 overall for the first time this season. .

Tadasuke Makino (Hitech GP), although still recovering from his accident at the Norisring, established his best result with a 4e place, putting Ilott on the hat. The Carlin of Ferdinand Habsburg and Jehan Daruvala follow in front of the Prema of Mick Schumacher and Guan Yu Zhou. Joel Eriksson (Motopark) completes the top 10 ahead of Max Defourny (Van Amersfoort Racing) who sets the best lap in the race.

To Sacha fenestraz (Carlin), the race was an ordeal. Stopping in the pits at the start of the race to change his front wing, he received a drive through for a collision with Mazepin. The Frenchman finishes 15e, two places behind Maximilian Günther (Prema) who lost big in the championship after seeing his race ruined by a pit stop at the start of the race.
