Tom Blomqvist (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) could well obtain the honorary title of vice-champion of the F3 European Championship since his sixth victory of the season at the end of Race 2 at Hockenheim (Germany) where he started from pole allowed him to resume Max Verstappen (Van Amersfoort Racing) for two points in advance, the future driver Toro Rosso only finishing in fifth place.
The British team achieves a double with Antonio Giovinazzi who managed to take the advantage from Lucas Auer (Mücke Motorsport) on the 16th lap. The Austrian nevertheless managed to resist the pressure ofEsteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam) who finished just off the podium.
