F3-C2: Esteban Ocon opportunist at Hockenheim

Esteban Ocon (Prema Powerteam) scored another victory in Race 2 at Hockenheim taking advantage of favorable circumstances. After an engine change which cost ten places on the grid at Tom blomqvist (Carlin), it's Max Verstappen who was weighed down by bad luck in encountering mechanical problems on the formation lap. Despite the intervention of the safety car following Michele Beretta (Eurointernational) going off the track in the final laps, Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) had to settle for second place at the finish ahead of Ed Jones (Carlin ).

Lucas Auer (Mücke Motorsport) and Tom Blomqvist (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) complete the top five. The Briton made a good comeback in the peloton after starting from 11th place. Nicholas latifi (Prema Powerteam) follows in sixth place after having fought a superb duel with Félix Serrallés (Team West-Tec F3). The American finally finished eighth behind Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke Motorsport).

Esteban Ocon further increases his lead in the Championship with 18 points ahead of Tom Blomqvist and 33 over Antonio Fuoco (Prema Powerteam) who retired after breaking his right rear suspension. The Frenchman will start on the front row alongside pole sitter Max Verstappen in Race 3 contested this afternoon.
