F3-C2: Joel Eriksson winner at Monza

Starting from pole position after dominating the second qualifying yesterday in Italy, Joel Eriksson (Motopark) had a perfect second race at Monza. Author of an impeccable implementation, the Swedish pilot was never worried during the event, despite the return of Lando Norris (Pug).

The Briton, second on the grid, lost when the lights went out against Mick Schumacher (Prema Powerteam), falling to third place in the first loops.

The resident of the lap McLaren, winner yesterday in race 1, however regained his position against the son of the seven-time world champion F1 from the 6th lap, before isolating himself in second position, without being able to sufficiently reduce the gap at the end of the race against the leader Eriksson.

The latter finally won with a 0″ lead over Norris. Mick Schumacher takes his first podium in the category and precedes Maximilian Günther (Prema) and Ferdinand Habsburg (Carlin) on the finish line who livened up the peloton after losing several positions in the first lap by going into the gravel trap at outside the Curva Grande.

The Austrian took advantage of the contact in the second half of the race between Harrison Newey (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Jake Dennis (Carlin) to take fifth place, which he retained ahead of Guanyu-Zhou (According to).

Callum Ilott finished seventh ahead of Jehan Daruvala (Carlin), Ralf Aron (Hitech GP) and Nikita mazepin (Hitech GP). The last race of the weekend will start at 15:15 p.m.
