F3-C3: Callum Ilott, third different winner at Monza

Just like at Silverstone at the season opener, Callum Ilott won the last round of the Monza weekend in Italy, allowing him to benefit from perfect symmetry on the honor roll of the first two rounds of the year in FIA F3, with Lando Norris (Carlin) and Joel Eriksson (Motopark), winners in C1 and C2.

Eriksson could aim for the double by starting from pole, but it was Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam) who made the best move, taking the advantage when braking for the first chicane.

As in race 2, the leader will then escape in the lead, Ilott ahead Guanyu-Zhou (Prema Powerteam) and Lando Norris. The latter will quickly seize second place at the expense of Guanyu Zhou, who will lose several more positions during the event, allowing his teammate Maximilian Günther, who overtook Joel Eriksson, to secure 3rd and 4th positions.

The leading quartet will not change until the finish, Ilott winning for the second time this season. It is once again for the places of honor that the fight will rage, with Ferdinand Habsburg (Carlin) who will have animated the debates with fifth place as the final result for the Austrian.

Mick Schumacher (Prema Powerteam) concluded his weekend with a sixth position ahead of Pedro Piquet (Van Amersfoort Racing), Ralf Aron (Hitech GP), Jehan Daruvala (Carlin) and Guanyu Zhou, ultimately 10th.
