F3 – Charles Leclerc with Van Amersfoort Racing

Charles Leclerc starts to attack the F3 European Championship which has multiple advantages. The discipline allows talented young people to quickly showcase themselves and offers great rewards regarding obtaining the superlicense. The Monegasque hopes to follow in the footsteps ofEsteban Ocon et Max Verstappen after having had a superb season last year for his debut in car.

The pilot supported by Nicolas Todt’s All Road Management structure has finished Formula vice-champion Renault 2.0 ALPS with Fortec Motorsports and offered no less than three Eurocup podiums when he was just Wilcard. “We have an exciting challenge ahead of us. I look forward to working with such an experienced and successful team after the tests in Valencia (Spain) in December. The F3 European Championship has produced some superb champions and I think it’s the best place to develop,” said the new Van Amersfoort Racing recruit.

Charles Leclerc will put all the assets on his side by already confirming his presence at the Macau F3 Grand Prix. The Monegasque will be able to count on his new team which allowed Max Verstappen to reach the top of the car. “He impressed us with his performances in karting and in ALPS », admitted Frits van Amersfoort, the director of the team of the same name. “Winning the honorary title of vice-champion in your first year in single-seaters, at only 17 years old, is impressive. Charles has the speed and racing intelligence to play an important role in the F3 European Championship. It's up to us to give him the tools to succeed from the start. »
