F3 – Dennis Van de Laar joins Prema Powerteam for 2014

Crowned in 2013 with the Italian Raffaele Marciello, the Prema Powerteam team has reached an agreement with the young Dutchman Dennis van de Laar for the 2014 season of the European Championship. Formula 3.

René Rosin, the team manager of the team whom we met a few weeks ago (see AUTOhebdo n°1938), was delighted with this officialization.

“We chose Van de Laar after observing him in 2013, Rosin revealed. We think this driver is talented and has room for improvement. He is young but he already knows the majority of the circuits on the calendar. »

The 19-year-old driver has already had the opportunity to drive the Dallara F312 engine Mercedes on the Jerez circuit (see here) and was delighted with his contact.

“The Van Amersfoort Racing team allowed me to take my first steps in the European Formula 3 championship, admitted van de Laar. I couldn't imagine riding for another team but it is important for me to continue my progression curve and the Prema Powerteam is a team with a great history. »

The Italian team also rolled the Frenchman Esteban Ocon, Antonio Fuoco and Alex Lynn this week. In addition to Jerez, the team?s testing program led by the Rosin family during the off-season will continue in Barcelona and Estoril.
