F3: Double for the Prema Powerteam

Starting from third place, Daniel Juncadella won ahead of his teammate Roberto Merhi, winner of the first race. Carlos Munoz (Signature), who started from pole, climbs to the last step of the podium.

Daniel Juncadella quickly found himself attacking Carlos Munoz who had started at the head of the peloton, after Nigel Melker (Mücke Motorsport) stalled his engine, forcing him to start from last place. Although the Colombian resisted, the Prema Powerteam driver overtook him on the fifth lap of the race, before Roberto Merhi did the same on the following lap. The rain occurring in the final laps did not change the order of the podium.

« I was lucky Nigel Melker started from the back of the grid », admitted the winner after the race. “ As Roberto (Merhi) was getting closer, I wanted to overtake Carlos (Munoz). I think he was surprised by my maneuver »

With his second place added to his victory in race 1, Roberto Merhi keeps the lead in the Championship with 9 points ahead of Daniel Juncadella.
