F3 – Eriksson hits double at Red Bull Ring

Joel Eriksson (Motopark) won the last two events of the F3 European Championship on the Spielberg circuit (Austria) after benefiting from his pole positions.

If the Swede had to resist Lando Norris (Carlin), second in Race 2 ahead Nikita mazepin (HitechGP), the Briton could hope to be titled during the last event. The Championship leader attempted to overtake his Scandinavian rival but his attack was unsuccessful as it ended with contact damaging his car and relegating him to 17th position.

Nikita Mazepin once again reached the podium, gaining a position and ahead of his teammate Tadasuke Makino. The HitechGP drivers notably took advantage of the poor start of Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam) who ended up abandoning following contact with Ralf Aron (HitechGP), last in Race 3.
