F3 – Esteban Ocon will discover Pau

The Pau Grand Prix is ​​an unmissable event in the history of car. F2, F 3000, then F3 followed one another. 2014 marks the big return of the F3 championship. And, an additional attraction factor, it is a Frenchman who will appear this weekend as leader of the classification in the streets of Pau.

At 17 years, Esteban Ocon, of whom you were able to read a portrait in the 1953 issue of AUTOhebdo last March, will discover the route. “I have never raced in Pau, explains the Frenchman. The circuit looks fantastic and I was looking forward to racing in France again. I did several laps in the simulator. I know that overtaking is almost impossible, so qualifying will be very important to get victory. If the circuit is new, my approach will remain the same: I want to win as many races as possible. » The Prema Powerteam driver has already achieved two successes in 2014. At Silverstone at the start of the season, then at Hockenheim last weekend.

The drivers who will face the city circuit from Friday for qualifying, will use the 2,76 km track three times between Saturday (Race 1 at 11:15 a.m.) and Sunday (Race 2 at 11:15 a.m. and Race 3 at 15:15 p.m.).
