F3 – Harrison Newey returns to Van Amersfoort Racing

2017 must mark the year of progression for Harrison Newey. The son of the technical director of Red Bull Racing started his season perfectly by winning the MRF title a few days ago and will be banking on stability in the European Championship of F3.

The Briton will once again be fielded by the Van Amersfoort Racing team, and will try to improve his results after securing eighteenth place in the standings in 2016 with a sixth place at Spa in Belgium as his best result.

“As a racing driver you always want to be able to perform at the highest level, explains Newey, who will be competing in his third season in Dutch colors, after a year in ADAC F4 and a first campaign in FIA F3.

Frits van Amersfoort and his team have proven to be one of the best teams in Formula 3 and the atmosphere has helped me a lot to become a better driver. I have no doubt that our partnership will soon lead to new highlights. My goal is to get on the podium as soon as possible. »

Harrison Newey will team up with Pedro Piquet, Joey Mawson, his opponent in the MRF championship, and David Beckmann.
