F3 – Jake Dennis joins Prema Powerteam

Jake Dennis will be considered a serious title contender in the upcoming season of the F3 European Championship. The 19-year-old Briton will join the Italian team Prema Powerteam, which won everything this year with the Drivers' titles (with Esteban Ocon) and Teams, benefiting from solid experience. “Dennis proved he was the driver we needed to ensure Prema maintains its supremacy for a fifth season in a row.”, commented René Rosin, the Team Manager. “Jake is aggressive, smart and fast on all tracks. We will do our best to place him in the best position and we thank Racing Steps Foundations for placing their trust in us. »

The 2012 Formula champion Renault 2.0 NEC will be competing in its second season in the discipline after finishing ninth with Jagonya Ayam with Carlin. Jake Dennis now hopes to succeed Roberto Merhi, Daniel Juncadella, Raffaele Marciello and Esteban Ocon who have all been successful with Prema Powerteam in F3. “I am delighted to see that I will still have the support of Racing Steps Foundation for a second year”, added the Briton. “I learned a lot during my rookie season. I am now looking forward to returning with Prema who has an impressive track record in F3. I finished 3rd among the rookies this year (behind Esteban Ocon and Max Verstappen), but I could have done better if I hadn't made a few mistakes. I plan to showcase my true potential next year by fighting for the title. »
