F3 – Lance Stroll wins the title at Imola

Lance stroll (Prema Powerteam) succeeds Felix Rosenqvist by becoming the new champion of the F3 European Championship four races from the end of the season. The Canadian converted his 12th pole of the season into an 11th victory at the end of Race 2 in Imola (Italy) despite an event marked by three neutralizations, after seeing the cancellation of his best lap in qualifying revised.

The first safety car occurred following the exit of the track of Callum Ilott (Va, Amersfoort Racing) on the second lap, while the second was caused by an accident by Maximilian Günther (Prema Powerteam), the main rival of the contender in place of Williams. The last one is due to the exit of David Beckmann (Mücke Motorsport).

Joel Eriksson (Motopark) took second place, finishing just over a second behind the newcomer. George Russell (HitechGP) completed the podium ahead of Ralf Aron (Prema Powerteam) and Guanyu-Zhou (Motopark). Anthoine Hubert (Van Amersfoort Racing) finished just outside the top five. Sergio Sette Camara (Motopark) only finished 15th after going wide.
