F3 – Lance Stroll wins at the Norisring

Lance stroll (Prema Powerteam) further consolidates its lead in the Championship after winning another victory at the end of Race 1 of the F3 European Championship at the Norisring.

The poleman was however overtaken at the start by Joel Eriksson (Motopark), but the Swede retired after being hit by Callum Ilott (Van Amersfoort Racing), poorly rewarded for his comeback from 12th position after being penalized ten places on the grill following an engine change. The winner now has a lead of 63 points in the Drivers' standings.

Niko Kari (Motopark) took second place ahead of Nick Cassidy (Prema Powerteam), but the New Zealander was penalized five seconds for a safety car infraction. The Prema Powerteam driver lost his podium to George Russell (HitechGP) and found himself in sixth place behind Ralf Aron (Prema Powerteam) and Ben Barnicoat (HitechGP). Anthoine Hubert (Van Amersfoort Racing) gained five places and thus took the points for eighth place.

Race 2 will be contested from 17:15 p.m. Anthoine Hubert will start on pole.
