F3 – Lando Norris will start at Hockenheim with Carlin

Absent from the last two rounds of the European Championship F3 at the Nürburgring in Germany and at Imola in Italy, the British team Carlin will return to the paddock this weekend for the final round of the season at Hockenheim.

For the occasion, the structure led by Trevor Carlin will be able to count on the reinforcement of the Briton Lando Norris, recently crowned in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and in the FR NEC 2.0 championship.

The only 16-year-old driver will make his debut in the discipline. “It’s great to end a successful season with the opportunity to race in FIA F3, Norris comments. There will be a lot to learn during my first weekend at Hockenheim, but it’s a track I know well.

It also has particular importance for me as it is the circuit where I won the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC championship earlier this month. The competition will be very strong, but we aim to be in the rhythm from the start. »

Norris, who will be lining up at the next Macau Grand Prix, where he will compete in the FIA F3 World Cup with Carlin, will be joined by his compatriots Jake Hughes, driver of the DAMS team in the GP3 Series this year (who will also be present with Carlin in Macau next November) and Daniel Ticktum, resident of the British F4 championship. Hughes and Ticktum will also make their debut in the category.
