F3 – Lucas Auer moves from Prema to Mücke

Gerhard Berger's nephew will continue his career in Formula 3 another year after a first season concluded in fourth place in the general classification, behind Marciello, Rosenqvist and Lynn.

The 19-year-old Austrian, author of one victory and eight podiums, leaves the Prema Powerteam, where he rubbed shoulders with the protégé of the Team Ferrari Raffaele Marciello, for Mücke Motorsport.

“Mücke has a long and prestigious history in Formula 3,” said Auer. I am sure that we will fight at the forefront. I would like to thank the Prema team, I'm sure Mucke won't make such good espresso but I don't drink too much coffee so it's okay", laughed the Austrian.

The team led by Peter Mücke entered four cars this year and placed second in the championship with the Swede Rosenqvist. Auer is expected to get behind the wheel of his new car this week.
