F3 – Mick Schumacher extends with Prema Powerteam

There will therefore be good five single-seaters entered under the Prema Powerteam banner in the FIA European Championship F3 in 2018. René Rosin's structure confirmed this Monday the extension of its partnership with Mick Schumacher for the coming season.

The son of Michael Schumacher made his debut in the category last year, scoring a podium at Monza in Italy and finishing third in the Rookies standings behind Lando Norris, titled in the general classification, and Jehan Daruvala.

Schumacher will team up in 2018 with Ralf Aron, Guanyu-Zhou, and rookies Marcus Armstrong and Robert Shwartzman. « The competition in Formula 3 is tough and very tight, and it's rewarding to fight at this level, that's why I'm looking forward to another season, comments Mick Schumacher.

The fact that I can continue to work with a professional team like Prema can only help me move forward. It's great to work with them and I'm confident we can have more exciting times together. I am committed to going further and I want to fight at the top with the best riders. »

Titled among the teams in 2017, Prema Powerteam will aim to regain the Drivers' crown, abandoned last year to Lando Norris (Carlin). Trans trainingalpine had until then allowed its drivers to triumph continuously since 2012 and the coronation of Daniel Juncadella, followed by Raffaele Marciello, Esteban Ocon, Felix Rosenqvist and Lance stroll.
