F3 – Rosenqvist takes the last place at Hockenheim

Daniil Kvyat (Carlin) started from pole in Race 3 of the F3 European Championship in Hockenheim but the winner of the weekend did not manage to maintain the advantage of his position when the lights went out. Starting from fourth on the grid, Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke Motosports) took the best start and tried to build up a lead over his rivals before the safety car came to interrupt the race following a collision in the peloton. The Swede retained the advantage at the restart and took advantage of the fight between his opponents to distance himself from his rivals and secure his second victory of the season after a first success obtained at Silverstone which allowed him to slightly reduce his gap on the Championship leader Raffaele Marciello (Prema Powerteam), winner of the first two events of the weekend.

Felix Serralles (Fortec Motorsports) put in a great performance as he took his second podium of the weekend after winning a great fight against Jordan King (Carlin). The Briton lost positions over the laps leaving the poleman to regain a place on the podium and finally had to settle for fifth place after also being overtaken by Raffaele Marciello. The Championship leader had a great race, starting from tenth place to finish fourth. The resident of the Ferrari Driver Academy still has a solid lead in the Drivers standings with 71,5 points ahead of today's winner. Alex Lynn (Prema Powerteam) and Felix Serralles are now ahead of Lucas Auer (Prema Powerteam) in the Championship.
