F3 – Silverstone will open the 2017 season

The last World Motor Sport Council left several dates on the 2017 calendar for the F3 European Championship unresolved. Silverstone was chosen as the opening round.

F3 – Silverstone will open the 2017 season

“To be confirmed” mentions on the 2017 FIA calendar F3 unveiled by the last World Motor Sport Council in Vienna (Austria) were erased this Friday with the presentation of the almost final version of the program comprising a total of ten tests.

After a year of absence, the Silverstone track will open the 3 FIA F2017 campaign, alongside the World Championship.Endurance WEC, from April 14 to 16. The course will be headed south immediately with the Monza meeting, alongside the WTCC, then the traditional Grand Prix de Pau (May 20-21).

It is only from June, and the Hungarian event, that F3 will return to the grid DTM (the ITR promoter is common to both disciplines). The series will also be present at Spa-Francorchamps in July, as part of the 24 Hours of Spa in the Blancpain GT Series.

The season finale will once again take place at Hockenheim, in parallel with that of the DTM.
