Formulas Alpine : the calendar and the 13 pre-selected teams revealed

The outlines of the new Formula Regional championship by Alpine were revealed this Wednesday. Thirteen teams were pre-selected.

Formulas Alpine : the calendar and the 13 pre-selected teams revealed

The Regional Formula by Alpine, the brand new championship from Formula Regional Europe and Formula Renault Eurocup, revealed itself somewhat this Wednesday. ACI Sport and Renault have announced that they have pre-selected thirteen teams for the first edition of this new series which aims to bridge the gap between F4 and F3

We learn in a press release that sixteen teams have applied to join the championship. Thirteen were therefore selected. The two co-organizers have decided to renew their confidence in the seven teams who took part in the Eurocup and the five who entered the Regional this year.

Thus, ART Grand Prix, Arden, Bhaitech, FA Racing, JD Motorsport, MP Motorsport, M2 Competition, R-Ace GP, DR Formula, Monolite Racing, KIC Motorsport, Prema and Van Amersfoort will fight on the track. Each team will have the opportunity to field three cars, and even a fourth for a female driver. 

ACI Sport also communicated the 2021 calendar, with six phases of collective testing to begin over the period at the end of March – beginning of April. The season will kick off at Spa-Francorchamps, and two rounds should take place in support of the F1 : Barcelona and Monaco. The Tatuus F3 T-318s will also race at Paul Ricard, and three times in Italy, including two to end the season at the end of October 2021.

April 23-25: Spa-Francorchamps
May 7-9: Barcelona (with F1)
May 20-23: Monaco (with F1)
May 28-30: Paul-Ricard
June 18-20: Zandvoort 
July 23-25: Imola
August 6-8: Nürburgring
September 10-12: Red Bull Ring 
October 8-10: Mugello 
October 29-31: Monza
