European F3 is ready for its new start

European F3 gets a new start with the involvement of the FIA. The field of the discipline will include 30 drivers of 15 nationalities at the start. The grid is almost made up with 29 confirmed drivers.

La F3 European team is formed before its tests in Barcelona (March 8 and 9) and Monza (June 18 and 19) before competing in its first meeting of the season on the Italian circuit on March 23 and 24. The FIA presented the updated entry list where Lucas Wolf and Sandro Zeller are added to the drivers already confirmed for this new season. The Romeo Ferraris team, which has already formalized the Italian Michela Cerruti, is the last to have not yet revealed its complete crew, the second driver being to be confirmed before the first tests.

FIA President Jean Todt is delighted to see the discipline enjoying such great success with a well-filled grid following the reunification operation between the F3 Euro Series and the F3 International Trophy. “I am really satisfied with the way F3 has developed under the leadership of Gerhard Berger, President of the Single-Seater Commission. This is an important step in the establishment of a clear training system for the karting to the F1 and I am doubly happy because in these times of economic crisis, this new championship has managed to attract 30 entrants from many different countries.”
