The future F3 USA by Ligier

Onroak Automotive has unveiled the new single-seater meeting FIA standards and which will make its debut in 2018 in the North American championship.

The creation of a new pyramid of car in the United States continues with the revelation, by Onroak Automotive and its Ligier brand, of a F3 meeting the future standard decided by the FIA. It will naturally sit above the F4 introduced this year which is already a success with nearly 35 participants entered in the championship.

This new F3, called JS F3, is distinguished at first glance by the presence of the Halo, this safety equipment to be standardized from 2018 in all FIA-branded single-seater series. Note also the beveled shape of the rear wing and the tire mounting provided by Pirelli.

The mechanics, for their part, will rely on a 2.0 hp Honda 270 turbo unit, the same one which, in its atmospheric version, already equips the American F4. If many elements of the technical sheet have not yet been revealed (weight, dimensions, etc.), the ambition of this JS F3 is to be approximately 8 seconds faster per lap than the F4 on an average length circuit.
