The Mygale F4 crosses the Atlantic

The French Touch will be very present in the USF4 Championship Series, championship launched in 2016 on the other side of the Atlantic in the United States, and which will join the calendars F2000, F1600 and Atlantic.

The French manufacturer Mygale
, based in Nièvre at Magny-Cours, won the tender to equip the platform. LThe single-seaters will be powered by a 1,6 liter Ford EcoBoost engine, which will develop the regulatory 160 hp, required by the FIA. Mygale North America (founded in particular by Bryan Herta, boss of Bryan Herta Autosport in IndyCar, Editor’s note) will import the cars.

The championship, managed by Formula Race Promotions, will be structured around seven meetings, for a total of 21 races over the year. “F4 represents a new stage in car, recall FRP co-owners Robert Wright and Al Guibord.

It has been accepted as a global formula and we are excited to bring it to North America. With a capped cost philosophy, and excellent partners like Mygale and Hoosier (manufacturing partner), we expect an extraordinary inaugural year in 2016.”

These single-seaters are also present in England and China.
