The awakening of Piastri, winner in race 2 in Spain

He hadn't won since the very first race of the season. FIA F3 in Austria. Worse, we hadn't seen him in the top 5 for four races, battered by capricious mechanics.

But the Australian Oscar piastri did not disunite. Thanks to a jumping start, the Prema driver took control of the race from the 4th turn, even though he started from 5th position, never to leave them again.

The member of the Renault Sport Academy did not tremble despite the double intervention of the safety car. He beat his compatriot Alex Peroni (Campos) and the Italian Matteo Nannini (Jenzer), who started on pole thanks to the reverse grid.

This second success of the season could have allowed him to regain the lead in the championship, but his competitor Logan sargeant managed to escape from 8th place to finish 5th. As before this Spanish round, before the last third of the season, the two men are only separated by a small point in the championship, in favor of the American.

Despite a good start from 4th place, Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) quickly found himself locked in before the distant turn 1. He had to concede two places (6th). But the Frenchman still takes big points and signs a fifth top 10 in a row, his best series of the season. The race was a little more complicated for his compatriot Clément Novalak (Carlin), who finished 11th.
