Team West-Tec arrives in F3 European Championship

La F3 European Championship will see Team West-Tec make its arrival in the discipline next year after having distinguished itself in recent years in the European F3 Open. The British team will enter two single-seaters powered by Mercedes who will soon make their first laps in Great Britain and Spain before starting official testing for the 2014 season. “We have ordered the F314 chassis from Dallara and I am confident we will be able to compete at the front, especially with the talented drivers we are able to sign.”, commented John Miller, the co-owner of the stable.

Team West-Tec will indeed be one to watch since it has a solid track record with 28 titles acquired over the last 24 years. Ed Jones was the last to be crowned this year in F3 Open. “We have had a lot of success with the current Dallara F3 chassis in F3 Open and the knowledge we have gained in this discipline, where we won 11 times in 18 races this year to become champions, puts us in a good position for 2014.”, added Gavin Mills, the founder of Team West-Tec who has numerous Formula Ford crowns to his credit. “The F3 European Championship is considered a single-seater discipline dedicated to young drivers offering an international scope which forms a real springboard towards F1. The 25 of the last 28 champions in F1 are drivers who have enjoyed success in F3. »
