The W Series has confirmed its provisional schedule for the 2021 campaign, which will be contested alongside the F1 World Championship.

The 2021 W Series will begin at Paul Ricard

The presence of the W Series alongside the Grands Prix F1 from 2021 had been made official a few days ago, but the first calendar of the series reserved for female drivers was still missing.

The first version of the program for the F1 support championship was presented this Tuesday morning, with eight events on the menu, six on the Old Continent and two in America, a big novelty for the W Series, whose inaugural season in 2019 had was entirely contested in Europe.

Le Castellet will have the honor of hosting the opening round of the W Series on June 26, while the conclusion of the championship will take place in Mexico on October 30, as initially planned for the 2020 calendar, ultimately not contested due to of the health situation.

“The eight races will allow our drivers to showcase their skills on some of the world's most iconic racing circuits, in Europe and the Americas, and literally follow in the footsteps of the greatest racing drivers in the world today. » underlines Catherine Muir, director of the series.

It now remains to know the grid for this second W Series campaign, to determine who will succeed the British Jamie Chadwick, winner in 2019, on the list of winners.
