Resident of the EuroFormula Open in 2019 within Teo Martin Motorsport, with a 3rd place in the championship, the Austrian Lucas Dunner will take the next step in 2020 by committing to FIA F3.
The 17-year-old driver plays for the Dutch team MP Motorsports, who had already confirmed Bent Viscaal in his ranks for the upcoming campaign.
A team with which Dunner had already competed in the Spanish F4 in 2017, as well as the FIA F3 World Cup in Macau last November, giving him an overview of the single-seaters used in the FIA-labeled series.
“It feels good to come home, says Dunner. I can't imagine a better environment for my time in FIA F3, as I have fond memories of my F4 season with MP
I am confident that I can perform well in FIA F3 with Bent, and I hope to learn in my first season from the experience he already has in this category. »
MP Motorsport has yet to formalize a driver to complete its 2020 line-up.
