Macau F3 – Felix Da Costa wins qualifying race

Alex Lynn did not enjoy his pole position in Macau for very long. Even before the first braking in Lisboa, the Briton was overtaken by Antonio Felix Da Costa and could do nothing to recover his position. The Portuguese, leader of the Carlin team powered by a VW engine, led during the 19 laps of this qualifying race. The young protégé of Red Bull will therefore be ideally placed at the start, tomorrow, of the final event. In second place will be Felix Rosenqvist, from Mücke, who also managed to get rid of Alex Lynn. With his third place, the Fortec driver has reason to console himself for the moment: he remains by far the best rookie in the competition.

Winner in 2011, Daniel Juncadella (Prema Powerteam) will have a lot to do if he wants to repeat his performance this year. Starting from fourth place, the Spaniard was quickly overtaken by Carlos Sainz Jr. (Carlin) and Harry Tincknell (Fortec). If the son of the world rally champion manages to keep his fourth place until the end of the race, the Englishman will be forced to give up fifth place to the champion. F3 series in title.

Pascal Werlhein, Hannes Van Asseldonk, Felipe Nasr and Alexander Sims complete the top ten. Special mention for the latter, very deserving, because he is the only one in the field to field a Nissan engine.
