Matteo Nannini wins Race 2 in Budapest

After Ayumu Iwasa earlier in the day, it was the turn of Matteo Nannini (HWA Racelab) to take his first victory in Formula 3. Starting third, the Italian took control of the race on the 4th lap, overtaking Enzo Fittipaldi (Charouz) at the end of the DRS zone. Before that, the HWA Racelab driver got rid of Roman Stanek (Hitech) from the start, after delaying his braking at the first turn. He won ahead of the Brazilian and the Czech.

A point for Novalak

The Italian, who is leading a double program with the Formula 2, therefore won alone with almost three seconds in advance. As in Race 1, there were not many overtakes within the top 10 on this track. In the championship, the good deal is rather due to championship leader Dennis Hauger (Prema), once again. The Norwegian took fifth place, after overtaking one of his main competitors, the Australian Jack Doohan (Trident) and the German David Schumacher (Trident). Second in the championship Olli Caldwell (Prema) was caught in contact at the first corner.

On the French side, Clément Novalak (Trident) finished in the points (8th). For his part, Victor Martins (MP Motorsport) stalled on the starting grid while starting 15th. He finished his Saturday in 25th position. Reshad de Gerus (Charouz) took 18th place. As a reminder, the main race will take place on Sunday morning at 10:45 a.m. Arthur Leclerc (Prema) will start from pole position ahead of Dennis Hauger (Prema).
