Mick Schumacher to headline FIA ​​F3 World Cup

Mick Schumacher will be one of the favorites for the FIA ​​F3 World Cup in Macau in mid-November. The German will notably face former European F3 residents Callum Ilott and Joel Eriksson, but also Frenchman Sacha Fenestraz.

Mick Schumacher to headline FIA ​​F3 World Cup

28 cars will be present on the starting grid of the FIA ​​World Cup F3 of Macau (November 16-19). Headlining, the brand new European F3 champion Mick Schumacher will logically be placed among the favorites, within a Theodore Racing by Prema armada also including Guan Yu Zhou, Ralf Aron, Marcus Armstrong and Robert Shwartzman.

The German driver will try to match his father Michael, winner in the streets of the casino city in 1990, and will have to be wary of the returning Callum Ilott, current 3rd in the GP3 Series and former resident of European F3, and Joel Eriksson, driver BMW Motorsport and 3 FIA F2017 vice-champion. The latter will compete respectively at Carlin and Motopark.

After seeing Mick Schumacher steal the spotlight at the end of the year in Europe, Dan Ticktum will aim to achieve the double in Macau, he who won after an incredible final in 2017 where Ferdinand Habsburg and Sergio Sette Camara made mistakes in the last turn.

 

 

 

 

The French clan will be represented this year by Sacha Fenestraz, who will once again play under the Carlin colors, after discovering the event last year. The BMAX Racing Team has not yet made its drivers official, and a place on the grid also remains to be filled.
