Mika Mäki returns to F3 Euro Series

Mika Mäki, a 22-year-old Finn, nevertheless has a track record that can be enviable. Vice-champion of Formula BMW in 2006, champion of F3 Italian in 2007, fifth and sixth in the F3 Euro Series championship in 2008 and 2009, Mika Mäki has nothing to be ashamed of his career. However, since the start of the year, the native of Tempere had no longer been talked about.

But, this weekend, for the fifth round of F3 Euro Series, the former Signature driver returns to the discipline, with the Motopark Academy team. “ At the start of the season, I did not have the financial means to continue being active in motor racing. In the meantime, I was able to find some sponsors and got a good offer from Motopark Academy. It’s great to be able to race in the Formula 3 Euro Series again. I hope to be able to regularly score points in the remaining events and progress continuously. », explains Mäki.

So as not to suffer from his absence in car, the Finn carried out a few tests which allowed him to regain his automatisms. “ Of course, I am still aware that I still have a lot of work to do, especially in terms of my physical condition. During the period when I was not active in competition, I did not train as intensely. So I have some time to catch up to get back to the physical level I had before. » The Motopark Academy driver will be able to test his condition this Friday morning, for the first tests at the Nürburgring.
