Mortara “over the moon” in Valencia

Edoardo Mortara (Signature), during the first two meetings of the season, collected four podiums in four races. Almost perfect, since the Italian recorded “only” one victory. But, certainly, Mortara is impressive. This Friday, in Valencia, the winner of the last Grand Prix F3 from Macau was again the fastest. As a result, the Signature driver will start on pole and will have the opportunity to consolidate his position as championship leader.

« Everything was perfect, I'm in heaven, welcomes Mortara. I didn't think I would get pole here, because I don't really like this circuit. I am also very happy to have been able to prove that we not only have a good engine thanks to Volkswagen, but also a very good car. » It now remains for the Italian driver to get off to a good start this Saturday, while keeping an eye on his opponents.

Starting with Daniel Juncadella, who arrived in the discipline this season but who is proving terribly effective. In Valencia he got second place on the grid. “ I'm a little surprised to finish second in this qualifying session, says the Spaniard. Indeed, after the problems this morning during the second practice session, I was rather pessimistic. Besides, I was quite nervous because of the test results. This is why I couldn't combine all my best sectors in a single lap. But no problem, I'm very happy to start in second position. »
