Regional: Gianluca Petecof crowned champion

It definitely wasn't Arthur Leclerc's weekend. After not being able to take part in qualifying due to a mechanical problem, the Monegasque had a final chance to seek the title of champion in Race 3, after having limited the damage in Race 1. But an error under the rain forced him to end his day and his season in the gravel, abandoning all hope of a title.

The consequence was instantaneous: the Brazilian Gianluca Petecof was beyond the reach of any competition. All he had to do was finish quietly in 5th position, and enjoy his title, his first in car.

Author of a superb start to the season with four victories and four second places in nine races, Petecof did not win anything after that, but his consistency allowed him to be crowned. Note that the race was dominated by Oliver Rasmussen, his teammate at Prema, who won ahead of Dennis Hauger (Van Amersfoort), the two drivers being the two men in good form at the end of the season.

For his part, Frenchman Pierre-Louis Chovet finished well with a new podium. As a reminder, next year, the Regional Formula Europe will merge with the Formula Renault Eurocup.
