Regional: Hauger dominates a wet race 1

The Norwegian Dennis Hauger, who spent the entire season in the FIA F3, won his first race of the season after achieving four podiums. The Van Amersfoort Racing driver, who started in 2nd position behind the weekend's triple pole-sitter Oliver Rasmussen, managed to get the better of the Dane in the long straight curve that constitutes the first turn and keep the lead throughout the race.

In the fight for the title between Arthur Leclerc and Gianluca Petecof, only separated by two points before the start of the race, we inevitably had our eyes fixed on the Monegasque, forced to start from last position in the three races of the week -end after a mechanical problem in qualifying.

From 11th, Leclerc moved to 8th but lost control of his car on the 2nd lap by locking the wheels on the wet Vallelunga track. Result, a penalty of five seconds on his final time. Behind, an overtake on Gillian Henrion, a mechanical problem for Pierre-Louis Chovet (Van Amersfoort) and another overtake on Konsta Lappalainen allowed him to finish 5th, but with the eight points of sixth place because of his penalty.

Starting 5th, Gianluca Petecof finished 4th and therefore took the opportunity to take a six-point lead over Leclerc before the last two races of the season.
