Regional: Rasmussen and Leclerc on pole at Imola

The two Prema drivers Oliver Rasmussen and Arthur Leclerc took pole positions for the weekend this Saturday on the Imola track in Italy. Author of two victories during the last Catalan round, Rasmussen confirmed that he was indeed the strong man at the end of the season by dominating the first qualifying session.

The Dane has also achieved a great operation since he will start in Race 1 ahead of Ian Rodriguez (DR Formula), who is making his debut in F3 Regional, and Dennis Hauger (Van Amersfoort), who is only playing his second weekend in the championship. In Q1, his competitors for the title Arthur Leclerc (Prema) and Gianluca Petecof could not do better than 4th and 8th.

But the big winner of his qualifications is perhaps Arthur Leclerc himself. In addition to having qualified better than Petecof in Q1, the second in the championship especially won pole position for Race 2 ahead of Patrik Pasma (KIC Motorsport) and Pierre-Louis Chovet (Van Amersfoort), while Petecof only finished 6th and Oliver Rasmussen was stuck in last position due to a gearbox problem.

In the game of the best 2nd lap, it was Patrik Pasma who showed himself the most skilled and who will start on pole for Race 3, ahead of Arthur Leclerc and Ian Rodriguez. The Frenchman Pierre-Louis Chovet will therefore start 5th, 3rd and 4th of the three races of the weekend.
