Rosenqvist wins the Zandvoort F3 Masters

Felix Rosenqvist performed brilliantly at the Masters F3 of Zandvoort where the Swede already had a victory in 2011 and who started from pole for this edition. The Mücke Motorsport driver maintained the advantage at the start and created a lead over the Prema Powerteam drivers, Alex Lynn and Emil Bernstorff, who quickly overtook Harry Tincknell (Carlin) who started from the front row and which ranks fourth.

“The pole, the victory and the fastest lap in the race. It’s a perfect weekend for me”, comments the winner. “I wasn't really focused on this event because I'm really into the FIA F3 European Championship. I viewed the Masters as an extra race and just wanted to have a good time. But the objective remained to win, especially after the free practice sessions and the two qualifying sessions. I only had one hot moment in the race when a medical car ended up in front of me. After that, everything was under control. »

Lucas Auer (Prema Powerteam) and Sven Müller (ma-con) were battling for fifth place, but both drivers collided on the fifth lap and were forced to retire. Jordan King (Carlin) completes the top five ahead of Eddie Cheever (Prema Powerteam), Nicholas latifi (Carlin), Luis Felipe Derani (Fortec Motorsports), William Buller (Fortec Motorsports) and Antonio Giovinazzi (Double R Racing).
