Zhou winner in C1, Schumacher delays his coronation
Part 7e, Mick Schumacher (Prema Racing) quickly found himself battling with his own teammate Marcus Armstrong. The first lap was an ordeal for the German who, after contact with the New Zealander, found himself in a fight off the track with Dan Ticktum (Motopark).
The entry of the safety car allows the Prema driver to catch up with the peloton but abandons any chance of victory. After a second safety car, Guan Yu Zhou (Prema Racing), starting from pole, escapes in the lead.
The Chinese wins his second victory of the season after the first race in Pau. He is ahead of his teammate Robert Shwartzman and Jüri Vips (Motopark). Alex Palou (Hitech GP) finished just off the podium ahead of Dan Ticktum who reduced the gap in the championship and kept his title chances slim.
Sacha fenestraz (Carlin) signs a 7e place ahead of his teammate Nikita Troitsky and Enaam Ahmed (Hitech GP). For his first race in F3, Frederik Vesti (Van Amersfoort) completes the top 10, two places ahead of Schumacher.
