As is tradition at Monza, the times fell gradually throughout the qualifying session at Monza in Formula Renault Eurocup. Lorenzo Colombo and Victor Martins (MP Motorsport) and Ugo de Wilde (JD Motorsport) took turns holding pole position during the session, but the last word went to the Italian on his home turf.
Colombo climbed to the top of the hierarchy in 1'49″190, on his final attempt, and will start this Saturday at 14:10 p.m. in pole position alongside de Wilde, who had nevertheless taken the advantage on his last lap .
198 thousandths separate the first two drivers, while the second row will be made up of Leonardo Lorandi (JD Motorsport) and Kush Maini (M2 Competition). Victor Martins will start from fifth place ahead Oscar piastri.
