Gachnang threatens boycott

Having passed very close to the same incident during a race in Brno, Natasha Gashnang got carried away in the columns of the Swiss daily 24 Heures, questioning the presence of the Kevlar cables present to prevent the wheels from coming loose in the event of shock: “There is bad luck. But getting hit in the head by a wheel is simply unacceptable! (…) These Kevlar cables have a shock resistance limit, but it is essential safety today. We already had them F3 and even in Formula BMW. I don't understand why we stopped at F2 », asserts Natasha despite the declarations of Jonathan Palmer recalling that his F2s, designed by Williams, comply with safety criteria F1 2005 which requires the presence of the famous cables.

The Swiss even goes so far as to speak of a boycott if no measures are taken before the next race: “Returning to the wheel in a month at Donington without any changes would mean that nothing happened this weekend. It?s unthinkable. No driver will agree, out of respect for Surtees. »
