Henry Surtees unconscious

F2 driver Henry Surtees was knocked unconscious when he was hit by a wheel during the second race at Brands Hatch. The son of the 1 F1964 World Champion was taken to hospital. No information has yet filtered out on his state of health.

Henry Surtees unconscious

During the second race of Formula 2 at Brands Hatch, Henry Surtees was struck on the head by one of the wheels of the car by Jack Clarke after going off the track at Westfield Bend.

The 18-year-old Briton lost consciousness from shock. His car hit the wall at Sheene. Surtees was extracted from his F2 and then “stabilized” before being airlifted to the Royal London Hospital.

No further information has been released since.
