Jousse dubbed by Streiff

After 25 years of absence, the Formula 2 deserved to have the winner of the last race come and greet the new field. Philippe Streiff, after F2, then entered Formula 1Among Renault, Ligier, Tyrell and AGS, for a total of 53 Grand Prix contested. This big name in French motorsport therefore wanted to give its full support to Julien Jousse, the only representative of France in this new Formula 2 imagined by Max Mosley and Jonathan Palmer. “ I really believe in Julien, in Formula 2, and I am proud to be his godfather, confided Philippe Streiff! He did an excellent job in 2008, finishing runner-up in the World Series by Renault, and I already had my eye on him. I will follow him during the season, notably at Brands-Hatch where I will celebrate 25 years of my success. »

Teammate, at Tyrell in 1987, of Jonathan Palmer, “dad” of this new F2 formula, Philippe Streiff was also able to greet many acquaintances. “ I am delighted to take advantage of this opportunity to come and support Julien but also to see many friends here again. I find myself in the atmosphere of the 80s, when I drove alongside Jonathan. »

Supported by his illustrious elder, Julien Jousse wanted to thank Philippe Streiff: “ It's a momentous season for me and it's important to have him by my side. I finished vice-champion in my category in 2008, and the title is therefore my objective this season, with the test at Williams F1 that goes with it. I will do everything to achieve this, while at the same time competing in my first 24h of Le Mans within the Luc Alphand Aventures team. » Sixth then ninth during qualifying for both races, Julien Jousse had the opportunity to achieve a good performance.
