Juncadella takes on the Zandvoort F3 Masters

No driver was able to compete with Daniel Juncadella who was constantly the fastest of the weekend. Practice and the start of qualifying were held on a wet track but the competitors were able to take advantage of dry weather to decide between themselves. The Spaniard qualified brilliantly in first place ahead of Carlos Sainz Jr (Carlin). If the poleman retained his advantageous position at the start, his compatriot was quickly caught by his pursuers Raffaele Marciello and Hannes van Asseldonk (Fortec Motorsports). The Italian tried to overtake the race leader but the latter increased his pace to secure victory.

The leader of the F3 Euro Series crossed the finish line with a lead of more than seven seconds over Raffaele Marciello who secured the double for the Prema Powerteam. Hannes van Asseldonk resisted the return of Carlos Sainz Jr to secure the final step of the podium since the driver of the Red Bull Junior Team. Pascal Wehrlein (Mücke Motorsport) completes the top five ahead of William Buller (Carlin), Alex Lynn (Fortec Motorsports) and Michael Lewis (Prema Powerteam). Felix Rosenqvist (Mücke Motorsport) had a disappointing race, only taking ninth position. The Swede who won the F3 Masters last year started from fifth place on the grid.
