The Dane, for his first participation in an F3 Euro Series meeting, did well by winning the second race of the weekend. Frenchman Nicolas Marroc finished second.

Kevin Magnussen starts with a bang

Kevin Magnussen (Motopark Academy) did not miss its debut in the Formula 3 Euro Series. Winner of the Danish Formula Ford in 2008, second in Formula Renault 2.0 North European Cup last year and entered this season in F3 German, Kevin Magnussen joined the F3 Euro Series this weekend in Valencia, replacing Adrian Quaife-Hobbs within the Motopark Academy team.

Second on the grid, the Dane took the lead from the start of the race, getting the better of the pole sitter, the Frenchman Nicolas Marroc (Prema Powerteam). The young Magnussen then increased his lead over the laps, finishing ten seconds ahead of Marroc. Third, the Belgian Laurens Vanthoor (Signature) completes the podium.

Kevin Magnussen, winner in his second race in the F3 Euro Series, recognizes that the surprise is total. “This victory is a surprise for me too! », exclaims the Dane. “ I arrived in Valencia with no particular expectations, except that I wanted to do my best.
