F3 meets in Macau

A traditional end-of-season meeting, the Macau Grand Prix will bring together the best drivers from the different Formula 3 championships around the world. Jules Bianchi (ART Grand Prix), ninth last year, returns more motivated than ever.

For the 56th edition of the Macau Grand Prix, no less than 30 drivers are part of the entry list. Championship Winner F3 Euro Series, Jules Bianchi will obviously be the favorite within the ART Grand Prix team which is also entering Valtteri Bottas, the rookie champion, and Sam Bird.

« Macau is a very special meeting, it?s a difficult route », confirms Bianchi. “ I intend to win and I think it should be possible. This year, I have much more experience than the first time last season, and I prepared very well with my team. »

If he wants to obtain the prestigious title, Bianchi will have to deal with other champions like Daniel Ricciardo (Carlin Motorsport), the British F3 champion, Daniel Zampieri (Prema Powerteam), the Italian champion, Marcus Ericsson (Tom?s Team), the Japanese champion or even Laurens Vanthoor (Signature), the German F3 champion .

Another driver, Edoardo Mortara, will return to F3 after completing a season in the GP2 Series. Second last year behind Keisuke Kunimoto, the Italian will also try to shine within the Signature team. Brendon Hartley (Carlin Motorsport), third last year, will also start in Macau this weekend.
