F3 Masters: Alexander Sims on pole

Alexander Sims (ART Grand Prix), after a checkered start to the season, reappeared at the top of the bill this Saturday. Fastest driver in the morning, he then dominated the two qualifying sessions. Closely followed by Valtteri Bottas (ART Grand Prix), the Briton was able to stay ahead of the winner of the 2009 Masters. The two men allowed the French team ART Grand Prix to achieve a double. With the third place of Marco Wittmann (Signature), the tricolor flag even flies proudly over Zandvoort.

« It?s great to have pole position to start the Masters race, how Alexander Sims. My team provided me with a car that I could handle without any problem. With our old tires we were already fast, but with my new tires for the second session it was even better. My goal is of course to win the race from now on. »

« Coming to Zandvoort, I wanted to win the race a second time, declares Valtteri Bottas for his part. Nothing is lost for me yet and even though I got second place in qualifying, I can still win. The interruption due to Marco Wittmann's accident unfortunately did not help me. Otherwise, I could have done much more. »
